How to crochet a left-handed treble crochet
A left-handed treble crochet is what I like to think is a backwards normal treble crochet. I tried to search
on the internet to see if there was anyone who could explain how to do a backwards treble crochet, but I couldn't find any.
So I made up my own, and it turns out that it's exactly the way you would do the normal treble crochet, if you were left-handed.
That's why I call it the left-handed treble crochet. The reason why I needed a backwards treble crochet was because I wanted
to make a
Scrollbar Scarf, and I found out that when I turn the scarf to work on
the next row, the treble crochet turned out backwards, and I didn't like the way it looked. In knitting I would do a stockinett
stitch, and purl on the wrong side. This is what I wanted to do with this scarf, and left-handed treble crochet was my answer.
True, it doesn't turn out looking exactly the same way because of the way the yarn is twisted, which is the opposite direction of the
normal treble crochet, but it turns out looking similar enough for me. So, if you would like to try, here's a video explaining
how to do it. I tried drawing the steps, but I can't draw, so. Enjoy!
